For our Specialty Training courses, we offer the opportunity to undergo a 3-day academic & flight training syllabus at a privately owned, pristine mountain retreat on a limited, exclusive basis. It is located on a naturally formed mountain lake in western Montana bordering US Forest Service lands and the Scapegoat Wilderness.
You may utilize your own aircraft or our contract turbine engine helicopters. Courses available at the Glenn Echo Coopers Lake site are: (1) Vertical Reference Longline training, and (2) High Altitude Mountain Flying refresher training to include pinnacle, ridgeline and confined area operations. Pure academic courses are available consisting of Aircraft Performance Planning, Incident Command System, Wildland Fire Behavior, Aviation Wild land firefighting tactics, Risk Management and Assessment, Helibase and Helispot Management and Operations.
Free time allows for extracurricular activities such as fishing for annually stocked cutthroat and brown trout, hiking, canoeing, swimming or just plain relaxing, enjoying the aesthetic beauty of this very special retreat. Inquire.
